Can you get ranked without search engine optimization

Many new bloggers are turned away to the idea of making money online because they are flooded with the idea of search engine optimization. I know when I started out I was told if I didn’t learn everything there was to learn about search engine optimization than no one would ever read my blogs. Well, this is not really the case and I think this gets forgotten. If you are a new blogger, don’t get overwhelmed.

Good quality content over a long period of time will increase traffic naturally. People who read the site will sign up for RSS feeds, they will link to articles you post as reference points, your articles will show up on the search engines. The difference between rolling out a full blown SEO blog and not focusing on your keyword selections is a matter of time. Search engine optimized blogs will rank to the top much faster and with less work than a blog that is not writing for search engine optimization. They will get ranked to the top if they consistently produce good material for years but this is the hard way to get there.

So really comes down to the blogger. SEO is one way to get a blog ranked up high quickly in search results however this does not mean anything on its own. It does not mean anyone reads your blog or that you will make money from your blog. Just that it is ranked high in search results. So what am I getting at? Well, there needs to be a blending of quality of content mixed with SEO techniques. You need to write for your readers and focus on putting out articles that add value but at the same time you need to use some basics SEO fixes like keywords, getting backlinks and selecting proper titles for your blog posts. These simple steps could shave off months to years to getting ranked on page one for your niche.
