Two tips to get involved with blogging for cash
A lot of the time people read profitable blogs and get jealous wishing they were in the business years ago so that they could make away with some of blogging for cash that is going on. No worries, there is still time to make some cash online blogging.
Now, before I mention two ways to get involved with blogging for cash, I need to state the obvious. This is not an over night thing. You will not start blogging and then make a ton of cash quickly. It takes years of posting on a normal basis and even then you might only make enough to put gas in the car. So before you get started be sure you have the patience and energy to stick with it for the long run.
The first tip to get involved with blogging for cash is to learn the art of rewrite. One of the worst things you can do is post the same information exactly as it is written in more then one location. It will kill your SEO advances. However if you write and article and then rewrite it over and over again, you are safe. So, if you want to get involved with blogging for cash, sign up for paying blogging sites like today or examiner and write content. Rewrite one post over and over and post it on your own blog and then all of the other places. It will take little time to do it and will get your keyword heavy content out there.
The second tip is to learn how to pick good keywords for your content articles. Picking good keywords for your content articles can be the difference between ranking on page one or page one hundred. Where page one is actually blogging for cash and page one hundred is useless. Check out Google’s Keyword Tool as a great place to start. Find keywords and write for them and then rewrite the article until you have enough versions to cover all of your blogs.
Hope the two tips help out - remember even content articles need to have some quality to them. They need to add some value or you will scare away the reader. So when rewriting and picking your keywords be sure to keep the reader in mind as much as as the search engine spiders.
Do you have an online journal blog?
A blog can be used for a number of reasons but one of the original reasons was as an online journal blog. The idea was to be able to post like a journal about a person’s life, not about making money online. Some where down the road marketing took over the concept and ran with it, greed took it from there but back in the beginning, an online journal blog was a way to simply put thoughts out there for the world to read. How long did this last? Not long.
While many people have now turned to make dollars online rather then the original intent, most still keep a private or online journal blog somewhere in addition. Usually a free blog where they post about their normal day to day life shared with family and friends. Do you have one? Do you only have your business blog or professional blog that is monetized?
I think many people fall out of love with blogging over time. It just happens. The make money blogging route while sounds great is a good deal of hard work. Takes a lot of time and energy to make it happen. Most people just do not have the consistency and drive to make it happen. In the end it is the personal online journal blogs that will stay around. People still keep on living their life and while their interests change, their need to post about what happened to them, who pissed them off or what made their day will always remain. Themed blogs like this one will fall out of favor eventually but personal blogs can be adopted to cover any topic no matter how random. If you don’t have one, start one. Will help you keep your balance on professional blogging and an online journal blog for everything else.

Why everyone is blogging for dollars
The more I get into blogging the more I realize that everyone is really just blogging for dollars. Very few people I believe are purely interested in helping others or sharing information. To me, it seems that blogging for dollars is the motivation behind 99% of all blogs created. People trying to find niche topics untapped and stalking keywords that are within reach with proper SEO fixes. No one sits down and says how can I help readers learn something about a topic I feel is important.
Why does this happen? Well, the bottomline is that we are all selfish people right? Blogging for dollars is motivation to sit down and write. Sit down and maintain a blog and get backlinks and market the blog to increase traffic. What motivation comes from just handing away content without reward? A good feeling on the inside? A sense of satisfaction knowing you helped another maybe in a time of need? Nah, overrated it seems. Blogging for dollars is the only motivation out there for bloggers.
What does this mean? Well, unfortunately it means that the web is filled with crap. That most people create blogs on topics they know nothing about and just rewirte good quality content into crap content rich in keywords so that they can attract the readers. Blogging for dollars has turned a useful tool, the search engines, into a headache to find what you are really looking for, which is, answers to questions.
Am I guilty? Sure, to some extent. I have ads here on this blog and my other blogs. I would like to make a few bucks writing these blog posts but in the end I would be more happy building traffic and getting an audience for what I write. I think the downfall of a good blogger is once they achieve a certain level of stardom. A level where the blogging for dollars has been achieved and now it is time to just post for the sake of posting while old articles written keep bringing in new readers.
Don’t get blinded blogging for dollars. Remember content is king. Answer people’s questions. Provide value to readers. If you do these things for a long period of time you will get traffic. You will be blogging for dollars but the right way.
When does a blogger turn into professional blogging
There is no magical sign when a hobby blogger turns into a professional blogging unfortuantly the most basic and obvious sign is that they are now making some money. This of course might only be one dollar and need to wait six months to reach the minimum payout to ever see the money.
Professional blogging is not as common as most people think. Not everyone is going to be the next ProBlogger. Very few bloggers are able to convert a part time blogging gig into a full blown professional blogging career. The starting point on the road is the decision to monetize a blog. Most people feel that a blog needs to have a certain level of normal daily traffic before it is really monetized. The reason for this is that advertisements can scare away readers. Especially early on when the blogger does not have enough traffic to bring in private advertisement opportunities or affiliates on their blog.
The other thing is that not all blogs really can lead to professional blogging. Not all topics will demand one million readers a year just because the niche might be too small or on the other side, the topic overkilled. You can be the top result for all of your keywords but if no one is searching for them, what does it matter?
So when does a blogger turn to professional blogging? It really just depends on what the goal of the blog is. This is a decision that any good blogger should set on day one. Set goals of traffic. Set goals on page rank. Set goals on subscriptions to their feeds. Once these goals are achieved then they should monetize the blog.
The theme selected should also be able to support monetization. Some blogs look like crap when you put advertisements on it or they are hidden and no one clicks on them. Deciding from day one you will someday want to make money and be a professional blogger can shape your approach to your design.
Decide early on. Is professional blogging in the cards for you and your blog or are you content as a hobby blogger?
What is a blog and why do people use them
Where did this wonderful new world come from? What is a blog? Well, blog comes from shortening the original phrase weblog. A weblog as you can guess is simply a log one keeps on the web - think journal, diary, anything type of log you might be keeping with pen and paper turned to the web. What is a blog? A blog is just a digital diary that can be used for personal blogging or professional blogging purposes.
The official definition for what is a blog is compliments of wiki:
Blog: Website in the form of an online journal, with new entries appearing in sequence as they are written
And the person at the helm of said blog, the blogger definition:
Blogger - a person who keeps and updates a blog
What does this mean? It means anyone can blog. Anyone can create a spot on the web and write just like anyone can pick up pen and paper and write. There is no hidden secret to blogging or tricks to the form.
Sure, when you get really into it and look to build an audience you deal with seo tips, seo fixes, keywords and other tricks to increase page rank of your blog but that isn’t needed to blog. What is needed to blog is simply content (personal or professional) and a place to post it online.
What is a blog? A blog is just a form of communication. Do with it what you will.
